One of the most exciting jobs of my life!
At first it seemed like a Mission Im-Possible USA when we started this journey on Teams with the CNH management team.
Right from the start I experienced the magic of deep trust from the HR Department, dr. Guido Moscheni and the President of Construction, eng. Stefano Pampalone.
Defense mechanisms were very high. It was very complex to find ways to reduce the defense mechanisms present, the communication viruses and the thieves of time.
Together with Stefano and Guido we have examined every day with surgical care every aspect essential to the continuous improvement of the team, with intense discussions, full of fresh and sparkling energy where the strongest element of union between us is the deep passion for what we do.
Individual coaching work with 90 targeted coaching sessions made it possible to generate an extraordinary journey of relational maintenance, 360 feedback and engagement!
How wonderful to get into the heart of everyone’s complexity and prepare with head, heart and soul for the week of the great Wichita big event.
Each person arrived technically and emotionally prepared in order to dissolve defensive barriers that seemed insurmountable at first. We said uncomfortable things to each other in a clear, ecological and non-violent way, but with strong incisiveness!
THE RESULTS ACHIEVED
Relational maintenance work allows the extraordinary journey into the art of feedback where the room we live in must be clean before being perfumed.
The concentration of the team is fantastic, which has developed one of the most requested skills in the world that allows us to review our behavior from the outside so as not to become a victim: meta-perception!
A wonderful moment was the work on the interruption of the scheme: while each person of the team presented their engagement following the feedback received, they were able to manage unforeseen situations exactly as happens every day in reality.
How wonderful to see how the team members have managed to face moments of stress with high behavioral awareness to play as a team and not get eaten up by their own ego.
We ratified our agreement based on objective and measurable commitments directly on the print of Wichita’s ritually most significant machine, the Minotaur DL550, with the key words and signatures of each team member.
Crazy energy, thrilling enthusiasm where I lived my 43rd birthday in a disruptive way feeling at home!
We have been in the Gemba, the place where things happen with the plant tour, with the coaching together with the Plant Manager Josh and with the driving of the vehicles, where I too got to guide the fruit of the production work!
Making the facts speak is wonderful because basically from the very beginning in this project we started from the kintsugi metaphor, i.e. the magical Japanese art where broken vases are glued together with precious material such as gold because they are it is our scars that help us express our best when we give them the opportunity to teach us what we deeply need.
THE NEXT STEPS OF MISSION IM-POSSIBLE USA
Now new challenges begin with the CNH team because learning never ends and now that the going gets even tougher we’ll see what we’re made of!
This team is in my soul and I will continue to give everything I have to be useful in a samurai key: making myself available to people’s real needs to help this team express the best possible version of itself!
